PLANT PEOPLE
Plant People is a documentary series about experts across the United States who devote their lives to caring for native plants and ecosystems.
This series draws viewers into diverse landscapes and the often-overlooked world of native plant life, exploring the applied science, systems, grit, grief, and ingenuity behind the daily work of conservation and restoration.
Each episode follows one scientist, seed collector, or farmer into the field across remnant prairies, hurricane-scarred forests, salty desert wetlands, and vast wildflower fields. At its heart, this is a love story: a portrait of specific people in specific places who share a deep love for native plants and the interlocking web of life they sustain.
The project is currently in production with anticipated release in 2027.
